Introducing Barrie Singleton acis

Barrie is part of the team at Advantage Realty Ltd (Licensed: REAA 2008) trading as Harcourts.  He specialises in commercial and industrial real estate; lifestyle properties and sections. With a background in property, Barrie is not your everyday agent and he prides himself about being able to find SOLUTIONS to the property problems his vendors and buyers encounter.

Property has been a passion for Barrie for more than 10 years and that coupled with his knowledge of business provides a knowledgeable platform from which he launched his career in real estate.

Barrie was born in Invercargill and did all his schooling there.  He completed School Certificate at Southland Boys’ High School.  On a part time basis he undertook tertiary education and qualified as an accountant and chartered secretary.  Much of his employment was with accounting firms which included several years auditing in New Zealand as well as in both South Africa and the United Kingdom.  Upon returning to New Zealand when he married Carolyn, Barrie became a partner in a successful central North Island accountancy practice where he practised until he ventured out with his own entrepreneurial activities.  A number of these followed but they were interspersed with appointments over the years through his accounting contracts in a range of businesses and organisations.  He still handles accounting and advisory work for a handful of clients.  In the past Barrie had an involvement with Multiple Sclerosis and intends to become more involved with charitable work as time permits.

In recent years his activities have been directed towards property investment.  This has included their properties plus a lot of time carrying out consulting work for others. He has undertaken development, management and many facets of trading and investment property activities.  Barrie has developed specialist skills in elements of property ownership and is able to provide expertise to persons seeking to either dispose of or buy properties that are not necessarily straight forward.  This may include investment property (of any type) or property for business or other situations.  If specialist advice is being sought, or if your situation is a little bit out of the ordinary then Barrie will welcome contact with you.  He is happy to work with property owners in any situation, but he does relish the possibility of providing specialist solutions to property buyers or sellers, traders, developers, commercial property owners and anyone who requires that little bit extra when it comes to property transactions.
